I became a Clinical Hypnotherapist after a successful and rewarding career in financial services in London and Hong Kong; and, currently, as the director of fundraising, marketing & communications for a major national charity. Along the way, I have dealt with career, personal and financial challenges. I learned to find my own balance and inner peace, and am a little wiser and, most importantly, a lot happier as a result.
I am a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and trained with the Surrey College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (SCCP) - accredited by the NSPsy and IHA. I hold qualifications in EMDR (a recognised therapy for PTSD), EFT, NLP, Positive Psychology, Gestalt and Solutions-Focused Therapy. What’s most important to realise is that these are all aimed at the same outcome: to help you unlock the extraordinary resources you already hold within you.
There are three main reasons you might choose Hypnotherapy:
1) There is an aspect of your life or behaviour that you want to stop, which is holding you back from leading your best life.
2) There is an aspect of your personality that you wish you could develop.
3) Something happened to you that has left you fearful and anxious in certain situations.
In some cases, it might be none of these. You might just feel a ‘little off’ and know that something is not quite right in your life.
Whatever the reasons you choose Hypnotherapy, you will learn that the solutions to all of your issues lie within you. You already have the knowledge and skills to be the happy and fulfilled person you want to be.
Hypnotherapy is a key that helps us to unlock that knowledge in a gentle, safe and non-judgemental way. And, I am constantly amazed at the impact it can have.
Because each of us is a unique and extraordinary person, no single approach will work with everyone. Part of the process we go through together in our initial sessions, is uncovering what type of Hypnotherapeutic approach feels most comfortable and can yield the best and quickest result for you.
Hypnotherapy does not claim to be a miracle cure, although seeming miracles can and do occasionally happen. Achieving a full sense of wellbeing will take work. But, if you are prepared to put in the effort, amazing transformations are possible.
As a result, you will feel so much better about yourself. Feelings of being anxious, out of control or living in a fog will disappear. Life will be immeasurably better, calmer and happier.
