About Me
Whilst studying the Psychology Of Education at the University of Manchester as part of an Honours degree I became interested in the power of the mind and how we can change our thoughts, feelings and behaviours relatively quickly.
I trained as a Person Centred Counsellor before deciding to train as a Hypnotherapist. I studied to become a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist qualifying with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD).
I use practical, modern and well researched strategies to help clients make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time with the focus always being on what the client would like to achieve.
Having now studied many of the Postgraduate CPD courses in Hypnotherapy I enjoy helping people to realise their dreams, using the gentle yet incredible power of Trance. Other skills and techniques I use are NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
I find my clinical experience coupled with my academic work an asset in the Consulting room.
I also work as a Senior Lecturer and Supervisor in Hypnotherapy. I enjoy teaching Hypnotherapy to students and also teaching CPDs on a number of specialist subjects related to Hypnotherapy, for example ‘Working with Children Using Hypnotherapy’ and also ‘Working with Teenagers and Young People Age 13-25 Using Hypnotherapy’.
I also work as a Supervisor for the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the NCH. Please contact me if you are looking for a Supervisor. I can offer you one to one Supervision (face to face or by telephone), also Group Supervision. Group Supervision will be held once every two months in Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. Group Supervision is a chance for you to meet up with other Hypnotherapists in London as well as to learn from each other’s experiences with clients.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you.
With my very best wishes,
Julie
